Christchurch red zone workshops 10-20 October 2011

Between 10 and 20 October 2011 CERA hosted a series of 8 community workshops for red zone residents in Christchurch to help people understand the government’s letter of offer as well as insurance, land and property availability, rebuilding, renting and financial planning. Around 750 people attended. At those workshops there were a large number of questions asked on each of the five themes. These questions are below with as many answers as possible that could be provided. Included is some general advice and contact details for the main banks and insurers as well as a link to the most up to date information about the CERA offer. Some questions could not be answered as they were either too individual or the question did not contain enough information or context.
