Public notice: Amendments to Proposal 9: Natural and Cultural Heritage for the Christchurch Replacement District Plan (Stage 3)

Date published: 25 August 2015. Date it takes effect: 25 August 2015. The Minister for Canterbury Earthquake Recovery, Hon Gerry Brownlee, has decided to amend the Natural and Cultural Heritage proposal for the Christchurch Replacement District Plan to reinstate the previous permitted activity status for demolition and deconstruction of heritage items where the demolition or deconstruction works are carried out or commissioned by the Chief Executive of the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority under section 38 of the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Act 2011 (CER Act). In accordance with the amendments, the Chief Executive of the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority must consult with Heritage New Zealand and the Christchurch City Council before making a decision under section 38 CER Act.
